John Cusick - Chief Executive Officer
John Cusick is the Founder and Managing Director of Ash Creek Renewables. He has been a leading voice in the biofuels and feedstock markets for the past 20 years. John’s current endeavor, Ash Creek Renewables, is the next step in his career evolution in the renewable energy space.
Formerly a Senior Analyst and Co-Owner of The Jacobsen Publishing, John was instrumental in developing their consulting and forecasting division. Prior to his role at the Jacobsen, he worked on the biomass-based diesel and feedstock trading desks for Imperium Renewables, Trafigura, Morgan Stanley Commodities, and Glencore. John was also an integral part of the acquisition of RBF, the US’s largest biodiesel production facility, located in Port Neches, TX, with MetalMark Capital.
Throughout his career, John has demonstrated the distinctive ability to navigate the complex relationship between agricultural inputs, energy outputs, and the myriad of regulatory credits in orbit of these markets. Combining his depth of knowledge with his practical experience, John has a proven track record of trading and hedging large volumes of agricultural feedstocks, which are refined into renewable fuel and credits. Additionally, as a trusted source in his field, John participates in various industry conferences across the United States, sharing his valuable ideas and insights about the future of biofuels.
